FAQ

How do you get Irisalis in Aniimo?
At launch: collect legendary tokens through world exploration and story progression, use them to craft your own Legendary Aniipod, which unlocks Irisalis's exclusive story. The encounter then appears on the world map — defeat her and throw your crafted Aniipod to catch her.
Can you miss the Irisalis encounter?
The official dev letter is explicit that the encounter only happens once — "This encounter only happens once, so make it count." What exactly happens on a failed attempt is not officially documented yet; treat the fight as one-shot and prepare accordingly.
What element is Irisalis?
Irisalis is the legendary evolution of the Iris line — a Grass-element DPS. The Iris line's official pages show the signature Dance Power trait engine that her kit is built around.
Was Irisalis different in the beta?
Yes. In the closed betas her capture ran through a gacha-flavored event widely criticized by the community. The launch redesign replaced it with the token-and-craft system — and the official letter calls this design the template for every future Legendary encounter.

Who is Irisalis?

Irisalis, the first Legendary Aniimo (official illustration)

Irisalis is Aniimo’s first Legendary Aniimo — the showcase creature of the entire beta cycle and the reward at the end of the game’s most personal quest chain. She is the legendary evolution of the Iris line: the official companion wiki lists Iris (NO.011) and Irisal (NO.012) as Grass-element DPS creatures whose signature is the Dance Power engine. Irisal’s official page quantifies the full loop: each skill hit grants 1 Dance Power (multi-target hits grant no extra), at 24 stacks the next skill costs no EP, and while on grass the line’s trait adds +30% Damage Amp. Irisalis carries that engine in its legendary form. (She is not part of the numbered NO.001–082 index — legendary-form entries sit outside the regular Aniilog sequence.)

What makes her story notable is how she’s obtained. In the closed betas, her capture ran through a randomized event the community openly disliked — a legendary behind a gacha-flavored grind. The official dev letter of September 3, 2026 redesigned the whole system for launch, and was unusually blunt about the stakes: “This encounter only happens once, so make it count.”

The launch system: tokens, craft, story, fight

The redesigned chain has five steps, per the official letter:

  1. Collect legendary tokens through world exploration and story progression (community launch documentation notes some sources have daily caps — verify as you play).
  2. Craft your own Legendary Aniipod from the tokens.
  3. Unlock Irisalis’s exclusive story — crafting the Aniipod opens it.
  4. The encounter appears on the world map as a special event.
  5. Defeat the Legendary Aniimo and throw your crafted Aniipod for your chance to catch her.

The letter adds one more thing worth internalizing: this token-and-Aniipod design “will be the pattern for every Legendary Aniimo encounter to come.” Learn the loop on Irisalis and you’ve learned it for every legendary after her.

Preparing for the one-shot

Because the encounter is one-time by design, preparation is the whole game:

  • Team elements: Irisalis is Grass — per the type chart, Grass is super effective against Water and Earth, and resisted by Fire, Grass, and Light. Bring Fire-type damage for the fight itself.
  • Re-spec freely: the launch build allows free Capability Awakening resets below level 60 with materials returned — no reason to walk in with an experimental build. The launch changes summary covers this and the removal of the rune system (ignore any beta guide referencing runes).
  • Starter foundation: both starters’ traits boost damage in neutral matchups — solid insurance for a fight you can’t repeat. The Helion vs Lunara comparison covers their kits; Helion’s launch-verified stats live on his profile page.

Is she worth it?

Community beta consensus on Irisalis: strong, beautiful, and — importantly for a live-service game — not game-breaking. A Grass DPS with a self-sustaining Dance Power loop is an excellent addition to almost any roster, and as the game’s first legendary she carries collection value beyond the numbers. What she no longer costs is luck: post-redesign, every player who works the token chain gets their shot.
