FAQ

What is a Perfect Aniimo?
Perfect is the top of the four Potential grades rolled at capture (Common, Good, Elite, Perfect) — community client-data documentation put wild Perfect odds near 0.8% in the beta. It marks the highest-quality roll, on top of which each stat has its own Potential value.
How do I check an Aniimo's Potential?
A fresh catch reads Unappraised until you run the in-game appraisal flow, which reveals its grade. The Collection screen's Sort & Filter panel also shows each Aniimo's grade with the game's own quality badge.
Can you raise Potential after catching?
Yes — Potential per stat splits into Innate (set at capture) and Acquired (earned afterward), sharing a 20-point ceiling per stat per the community-documented client text. A catch is never a dead end; the exact cap number is a beta-sourced value pending launch re-verification.
What changed about Perfect Aniimo at launch?
Three things, all official: Aniimo caught with a Sparkling Cube have guaranteed Perfect Potential, spawn rates of high-Potential 9/9 and 10/10 wild Aniimo were significantly increased, and launch login events pay out a Random Perfect Aniimo Egg across cumulative login days.

What Potential is

Potential is Aniimo’s quality system, rolled the moment you catch — and it has two layers:

  1. An overall grade — Common, Good, Elite, Perfect — your creature’s headline quality.
  2. A Potential value per stat — each of the six stats carries its own score, split into Innate (fixed at capture) and Acquired (earned afterward through play).

Community documentation of the beta client put the catch odds near 66% Common / 26% Good / 7% Elite / 0.8% Perfect — treat those as beta-tuned values, but the shape holds: Perfect is the rare roll everyone hunts.

A fresh catch reads “Unappraised” until you run the game’s appraisal flow; after that, the Collection screen’s Sort & Filter panel shows each creature’s grade alongside the game’s own quality badge. That answers the most common launch-week question in one line: check the badge after appraising, not the catch screen.

The three official routes to Perfect at launch

The September 3 dev letter quietly made launch the best time in the game’s history to start a Perfect collection. All three are official:

  • Sparkling Cubes guarantee it. Aniimo caught with a Sparkling Cube have guaranteed Perfect Potential — the only unconditional guarantee in the game. Sparkling Cubes flow from launch activities (launch rewards guide).
  • Wild spawns got a big boost. “The spawn rates of high-Potential 9/9 and 10/10 wild Aniimo have been significantly increased” — exact wording from the letter. Wild Perfect hunting is a real strategy at launch, not a lottery.
  • Login events pay Perfect eggs. Cumulative login days during the launch window grant a Random Perfect Aniimo Egg — free roster quality just for showing up.

One more official channel worth knowing: Wild Surges reached through ecosystem nurturing can produce Umbral Aniimo with Perfect Potential and distinctive coloration — the collector’s jackpot. The beta-to-launch summary covers the full Wild Surge rework.

Raising Potential after the catch

Because per-stat Potential has an Acquired component, a mid-grade catch is not trash — it is a project. Community client-data documentation (beta values) describes a 20-point ceiling per stat shared between Innate and Acquired, meaning every creature can be built up toward its ceiling over time. How Acquired Potential is earned, and whether the cap holds on the live build, are verification items — but the principle is safe to plan around: grade matters most at the margin, and investment closes the rest of the gap.

This is also why team structure beats stat-chasing in week one — the team composition guide covers what actually determines fight outcomes while your roster’s Potential matures.

Perfect hunting, practically

  1. Appraise everything — grades are invisible until you do.
  2. Spend Sparkling Cubes on creatures you’ll keep, not filler catches — the guarantee applies to the catch.
  3. Log in daily during launch — the Perfect egg track is cumulative days, not streaks, per the official reward list.
  4. Sort your Collection by grade before investing training items — free Awakening resets below level 60 (official) mean respeccing costs nothing, but Potential investment is permanent direction.

For what to catch in the first place, the Aniilog database lists the full launch roster, and the type chart tells you which elements your hunting should cover.
