FAQ

How many Aniimo are there at launch?
The official Aniilog lists 81 numbered Aniimo (NO.001 through NO.082, with NO.030 skipped in the official index) plus 5 special-numbered entries, for 86 total — regional forms are counted separately. More creatures are expected with post-launch updates.
What are the 9 elements in Aniimo?
The official roster lists 9 elements: Light, Fire, Ice, Dark, Lightning, Grass, Water, Earth, and Wind. Note that the official companion wiki data-labels some of them differently (holy, electric, rock) — same elements, internal names.
Are the starters part of the numbered Aniilog?
No — Helion and Lunara sit on special numbers (NO.99998 and NO.99996) rather than in the NO.001–082 sequence, alongside three other special entries: Dazmand, Fulmintis, and Little Fire Spirit.
What are regional forms?
Many Aniimo have alternate forms tied to where they are caught — for example, the official wiki lists Basic, Highland, and Mountain Woods forms for Emberpup. Forms change appearance and can change combat data, and are counted separately from the 86 base entries.

How many Aniimo are there at launch?

The official companion wiki opened with the game on September 16, 2026, and its Aniilog index is our count of record: 81 numbered Aniimo (NO.001 through NO.082 — NO.030 is skipped in the official index) plus 5 special-numbered entries, for 86 base creatures. Regional forms are counted separately on top of that, and post-launch updates are expected to grow the roster.

This database grows page by page: every creature whose data is verified gets its own profile, linked from the list below. New to the game? The game overview explains the world, and the starter comparison helps with your first big choice.

The 9 Elements and 5 Roles

Every Aniimo carries one of nine elements — Light, Fire, Ice, Dark, Lightning, Grass, Water, Earth, Wind — and one of five combat roles:

Role What it does
DPS Deals the most damage in combat
BREAK Breaks shields and staggers enemies
Heal Restores HP to allies
Support Provides shields and buffs
REGEN Regenerates HP over time

One naming note: the official companion wiki’s data labels render the Light element as “holy” (and Lightning/Earth as “electric”/“rock”). Same elements, internal names — official English marketing, including the starter reveals, uses Light. For the full matchup grid, see the type chart guide.

The 5 Special Entries

Outside the numbered sequence, the official Aniilog lists five creatures on special numbers:

No. Name What we know
99998 Helion Light-element melee starter (pick at the opening)
99996 Lunara Light-element ranged starter (pick at the opening)
10002 Dazmand Special entry — details pending in-game verification
10003 Fulmintis Special entry — details pending in-game verification
11001 Little Fire Spirit Special entry — details pending in-game verification

Torn between the two starters? The full side-by-side — combat style, launch-verified stats, and which player type each suits — lives in Best Starter Aniimo: Helion vs Lunara.

Regional Forms

Many Aniimo have regional forms that change their appearance — and can change their combat data — based on where they’re caught. The official companion wiki lists forms per creature: Emberpup, for example, has Basic, Highland, and Mountain Woods forms.

From beta testing, form drivers observed by the community include the catch location, weather, and time of day — we re-verify each driver on the live game before stating it as fact. Forms are one reason the catchable roster feels much larger than the 86 base entries; the changes summary covers the launch systems that interact with rare forms, such as Wild Surges producing Umbral Aniimo with Perfect Potential.

How to Catch Aniimo

  1. Aim your Aniipod at a wild creature
  2. Check the catch percentage shown on screen
  3. Throw — positioning and Aniipod tier matter (throws from behind, and staggered or sleeping targets, catch better)
  4. Rarer creatures need better Aniipods

The official screens show a “Chance to Capture” readout before you commit a throw, so reading your odds is part of the loop. Catching items flow from launch activities too — Sparkling Cubes, Aniipod Ultras, and Tumblers are among the launch-event rewards, and the codes page tracks every freebie channel that opens up.
