Storage, download, and the SSD question
Steam’s requirement is 40 GB of available space, matching the official pre-download notice’s roughly 40 GB client download size. The pre-download notice also recommends an SSD for the PC client — this is an open-world game streaming a continent, and mechanical drives show it.
Console players get simpler guidance from the same notice: PlayStation 5 requires the internal SSD (no external expansion for the game), with console pre-loads sized at 30–35 GB.
The one known hardware problem: Intel 13/14th-gen CPUs
The official Intel CPU notice of September 14, 2026 documents instability on Intel 13th- and 14th-generation desktop processors. If you own one of the affected models and see crashes, the official fix is a BIOS update to Intel microcode 0x12B or newer — check your motherboard maker’s support page for the update, not third-party “fixes”.
No gaming PC? Cloud gaming skips the download
Per the official launch communications, Aniimo streams through Xbox Cloud Gaming at xbox.com/play with a Microsoft account — no download, no spec sheet. Stream duration depends on your Microsoft account status. It is the fastest way to check the game’s feel before committing 40 GB, and progress is shared with the PC/console/mobile build on the same server (see the crossplay guide).
Language support
The Steam page lists 13 interface languages: English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Russian, Indonesian, Thai, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish (Latin America), and Vietnamese. Full audio support is narrower — English, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Korean — while the rest (German and Portuguese-Brazil included) get interface and subtitles.
Mobile requirements: September 23
The iOS and Android versions arrive September 23, 2026, and official device requirement lists had not been published at PC launch. This section gets filled the day the stores publish their device lists — the release date page tracks the mobile unlock details as they land.
If you are spec-checking for launch week, pair the hardware pass with the day-one practicalities: the launch rewards to claim and the first-hour systems to learn.
